Evan Morden receives NHL invite

Everett defenseman Evan Morden will attend prospects camp with the NHL’s Dallas Stars.

The 18-year-old Morden went unselected in the just-completed NHL draft. The native of Swan River, Manitoba, was a part-time player for Everett as a 17-year-old rookie last season, tallying one goal and four assists in 53 games. He did, however, make good strides as the season progressed and was playing regular minutes in the playoffs. The camp invite is confirmation of the progress Morden made.
