The Mukilteo Family YMCA plans to host the 2011 Subway Washington Games skateboarding competition at 10 a.m. Saturday. There will be a bowl contest and park slalom.
The event is free and spectators are encouraged.
The Mukilteo Family YMCA Skate Park is at

Ebey’s Landing open house: Island County, Coupeville and the Ebey’s Landing Trust Board staff are working to create a process for the review of development applications with the Ebey’s Landing National Historic Reserve.
Ebey’s Landing is the nation’s first historical reserve, created in 1978 to protect a rural working landscape and community on central Whidbey Island. The reserve includes 17,500 acres, 17 farms, more than 400 historical structures, native prairies, two state parks, miles of shoreline, a network of trails and the second oldest town in Washington.
An open house is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday for folks to learn about the final draft of the Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve design guidelines. The meeting is planned at the Service Alternatives Conference Room at 20 NW First Street in Coupeville.
Schools surveying parents: The Marysville School District is surveying parents to find out how they perceive the operation of Marysville schools and the district.
The survey ends July 15 and is available online at www.msvl.k12.wa.us.
