Mitch Love?

Greetings from Everett Memorial Stadium, where the Everett AquaSox are taking batting practice in advance of their game against the Tri-City Dust Devils, and I’ve got some Silvertips gossip.

As you all know, the Silvertips still have a vacancy for an assistant coach. Well, I received an e-mail this morning asking me whether former Everett defenseman and captain Mitch Love was going to be hired to fill that position. The e-mail included a link to a message board posting that claimed Love had been hired by the Tips.

I called the Tips to see if this was true. The reply was that those were just rumors and the team would neither confirm nor deny the story.
