Ryan Harrison next to earn NHL rookie camp invite

Another Silvertips player is getting his chance to attend an NHL rookie camp as center Ryan Harrison received an invite from the Vancouver Canucks, the Tips announced today.

Harrison arrived in Everett at last season’s trade deadline in the deal that sent winger Kellan Tochkin and defenseman Alex Theriau to Medicine Hat. The 19-year-old from Kelowna, B.C., had eight goals an 11 assists in 29 games with the Tips.

Harrison joins an expanding list of Tips free agents who received NHL rookie camp invites. Wingers Tyler Maxwell (Minnesota) and Campbell Elynuik (Philadelphia) received their invitations last week, while defenseman Evan Morden (Dallas) attended his prospects camp earlier in the summer.
