Mavs still unbeaten

EDMONDS — Kyle Newsom and Giavani Shepard rushed for a combined 175 yards and five touchdowns in leading Meadowdale to a victory over Mountlake Terrace in a Wesco 3A contest. Almost all the action was at the goal line with four of the game’s five touchdowns coming on 1-yard runs. With the win Meadowdale remains undefeated and sets up a showdown against Glacier Peak at Edmonds Stadium next Friday. Mountlake Terrace kicker Jalen Pahinui kicked a 37-yard field goal to get the Hawks on the board first.
