Prep football: Monroe 13, Stanwood 6

MONROE — Austin Mulholland reeled in an 11-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Hunter Bingham for the go-ahead score with close to seven minutes remaining as Monroe held on to defeat Stanwood. Jordan Moore had 132 yards on 22 carries to lead the Bearcats in a defensive battle. Monroe forced three turnovers, including two fumbles. Mulholland also had an interception on defense. Jordan Trujillo hit two field goals from 16 and 25 yards out to even the score in the third quarter at 6 and set up the final quarter of play.
