A Bothell man is set to be sentenced in October for his role in orchestrating a burglary ring in Snohomish and King counties. The case was investigated out of Medina, west of Bellevue, so the hearing will be in King County Superior Court.
Keone Padilla, 25, pleaded guilty to four counts of residential burglary and admitted to at least 34 burglaries in King County alone, Medina police Lt. Dan Yourkoski said. As part of his plea deal, Padilla drove the cops around and showed them more houses he’d broken into.
Investigators hope to have quite a few victims at the sentencing, Yourkoski said.
Padilla worked alongside his girlfriend and her brother, both of Everett. The brother pleaded guilty last month. The girlfriend went on the run a few times but pleaded guilty in July. You might have seen her cameos in our Fugitive Watch section.
In the investigation, police seized a host of stolen property, including a gun safe, two cars and about 500 pieces of stolen jewelry. One piece was a $7,000 ring nabbed from an Everett home.
Padilla has additional cases working through the courts in Snohomish and Grays Harbor counties.
