The annual Railroad and Reunion Days celebration in Granite Falls today is set to feature a children’s parade and a grand parade along S. Granite Avenue.
The children’s parade is scheduled at 11:30 a.m. and the grand parade is scheduled at noon. The day wi
ll officially kick off with a 5K race at 9 a.m. Interested participants can sign up for the race between 7:45 and 8:45 a.m. behind the Granite Falls Fire Department at 116 S. Granite Ave.

Garden dedicated: St. Timothy Lutheran Church of Edmonds plans to dedicate a new Biblical Garden at 11:15 a.m. Sunday at 5124 164th St. SW in Edmonds.
It’s a project of the Ladies Guild and was constructed under the leadership of Roger Reinig and the church Men’s Group. The garden features plants found in the Holy Lands, a cross, an arbor and benches.
Feel free to attend the worship service at 10 a.m.
Hair salon joins cancer fight: Tom Walker’s Hair Salon is Snohomish is hosting a Cut-A-Thon.
All proceeds from noon to 6 p.m. Monday will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in honor of stylist Jodene Walker.
A raffle also is planned.
