LAKE STEVENS — Ciara Carter broke a scoreless tie in the 78th minute and Lake Stevens (7-2 league, 8-2 overall) edged Cascade in a Wesco 4A contest. Carter received a through ball from junior teammate Porscha Dacoscos, split two defenders and then slid the ball past the Bruins (6-3 league, 7-3 overall) keeper.
