LAST NIGHT

• The Cascade girls soccer team, which has been making some noise in the Wesco South standings, battled Snohomish to a scoreless draw, prompting Panthers head coach to declare the Bruins as her team’s “hardest competition so far.”

• The Jackson girls soccer team won to increase its lead in Wesco South and Lake Stevens won to stay in the hunt behind Snohomish in the Wesco North.

• Cedarcrest’s Maggie Pleis assisted on a goal and scored another 8 minutes later as Cedarcrest topped Cascade Conference rival Archbishop Murphy to take over first place.

• Erica Beaulieu scores in overtime as the Meadowdale girls soccer team beats Glacier Peak 3-2 to take over third place in Wesco 3A.

• South Whidbey volleyball comes from a set down to rally and beat Lakewood in five sets to remain just two games behind first-place King’s.

• Monroe boys tennis player Garrett Amsberry beats Lake Stevens Andrei Arevalo 7-5, 7-6 (7-5) in a close match as the Bearcats beat the Vikings 4-3 in a Wesco North match.

• Zanetta Uy wins the 50 free and helps lead the Spartans to victories in the 200 free and 400 free relays as Stanwood ekes out a 89-81 win over Edmonds-Woodway.

• Meadowdale swimmer Anna Keane (50 free) and Lake Stevens’ Lindsay Vanderhoff (100 butterfly) swam state-meet qualifying times at Lake Stevens beat Meadowdale 117-63.

TONIGHT

• A pair of Wesco 3A volleyball powers, Oak Harbor and Lynnwood, look to make a move in the standings. (Tonight, 7 p.m., at Lynnwood H.S.)

On the eve of their showdown with first-place Shorewood, the Meadowdale boys tennis team takes on Everett (Today, 3:45 p.m. at Meadowdale H.S.)
