Jackson fades late in loss to KingCo power Skyline

SAMMAMISH — Jackson quarterback Sam Brown had a strong night for Jackson, going 34-for-51 for 475 yards and a touchdown, but it wasn’t quite enough to pull off the win against Skyline in a game where injuries took their toll. The Timberwolves kept it close, and led as late as the third quarter, but couldn’t close it out.

“I’m really proud of our kids,” said Jackson head coach Joel Vincent. “We took a 24-21 lead midway through the third quarter, but we play a lot more guys two ways than they do and we wore down.”

Vincent also noted several injuries, including a defensive lineman, a starting wide receiver, and running back Trai Patrick who missed the entire second half.

Andrew Dodd had 12 catches for 266 yards and Trevante Robinson had 11 for 105.
