Boil-water warning lifted for Camano subdivision

CAMANO ISLAND — A boil-water warning was lifted Friday for residents of the Thunder Ridge subdivision on Camano Island. The warning was issued Oct. 14 after E. coli bacteria were detected in the water there, officials said. The warning affected about 130 homes on the eastern side of the island, southwest of Stanwood.

The water system has since been repaired. The reservoirs were drained, disinfected and refilled. The water is safe to drink now, health officials said.
