PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles police say a 27-year-old woman begged her killer to stop as she was being strangled.

A Superior Court judge set bail at $1 million Friday for 22-year-old Kevin Bradfield. Judge Brooke Taylor set bail at $100,000 for 25-year-old Kendell Karlene Huether, accused of helping Bradfield dispose of Jennifer Pimentel’s body.

The two were arrested Thursday for investigation of second-degree murder after leading police Wednesday night to the body of the developmentally disabled woman reported missing Oct. 10. Relatives say she had a mental age of 12.

In court papers, police say Huether heard the victim say, “Stop, you’re killing me, please stop” as Bradfield choked her.

The Peninsula Daily News reported that the judge denied a request from Bradfield’s lawyer Harry Gasnick to lower his client’s bail.
