Clear a path to KeyArena because the Seattle Center is hosting three great acts this week.

It’s not just the “Wheel in the Sky” that keeps on turning. So do the wheels on Journey’s tour bus.

An iconic

rock band of the 1970s is back on the road ahead of its forthcoming “Greatest Hits 2,” a new collection of some of the band’s No. 1 songs. The new album is expected out on Nov. 11.

Journey started as castoffs from Santana and soon forged its own identity. Steve Perry was the band’s frontman for years, but they’ve since parted ways.

In 2007, the band brought on Filipino singer Arnel Pineda to sing. His addition has led to more success for the band.

Recent years has seen renewed interest as hit Journey songs have re-emerged in popular culture including TV shows “The Sopranos” and “Glee.”

The band is joined in concert by Foreigner, whose hits include “Jukebox Hero” and “Hot Blooded.”

Night Ranger opens.

The show starts at 7 tonight at KeyArena, 305 Harrison St., Seattle.

Tickets are $56.50 to $122 at www.ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000.

Next is the Bellingham band Death Cab for Cutie along with rising stars the Head & the Heart, who are local.

Death Cab is known for its alt-rock hits, including “Meet Me on the Equinox,” which was featured on the soundtrack for “Twilight Saga: New Moon.”

Now hitmakers, the band has been nominated for Grammys and have become superstars.

Head & the Heart is following right behind Death Cab in becoming household names. Their song “Lost in My Mind” is climbing the charts and they’ve signed with SubPop.

This concert is at 7 p.m. Saturday at KeyArena, 305 Harrison St., Seattle.

Tickets are $39.50 at www.ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000.

Then Roger Daltrey, the founder and lead singer of the Who, comes to KeyArena for a full-fledged performance of the group’s famous rock opera, “Tommy.”

The show has received rave reviews from around the country. The story is about a deaf, dumb and blind boy who becomes a pinball wizard, and draws a cult following.

Daltrey, who is expected to sing Who classic hits as well, will appear with singer and songwriter Paul Freeman.

Lights down at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at KeyArena, 305 Harrison St., Seattle.

Tickets are $77.50 to $123 at www.ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000.

For a dose of something very different, check out Portishead at WaMu Theater.

The band is a bit hard to pin down, genrewise. They are electronic, hip-hop, hi-fi, low-fi. Geoff Barrow, Beth Gibbons and Adrian Utley make up the group.

Thought Forms is the opening act.

They’ll play at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at WaMu Theater,800 Occidental Ave. S., Seattle.

Tickets are $48 at www.ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000.

Finally, Skrillex, the stage name for Sonny Moore, is an electronic show with thundering rhythms.

Originally scheduled for the Showbox, Skrillex’s popularity forced the move to the bigger WaMu Theater.

12th Planet, Two Fresh and Nadastrom share the billing.

Check it out at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Tickets are $30 at www.ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000.
