MARYSVILLE — Bessie Walstad had 16 digs for Coupeville, helping it beat Lakewood 25-18, 25-19, 25-20 in a Cascade Conference match. Katie Smith (nine kills) and Taya Boonstra (20 assists) also made strong contributions for Coupeville (7-7 league, 8-7 overall). Lakewood (6-8, 6-8) stayed in all three sets with the help of 12 kills from Brittany Parmentier, 11 digs and three aces from Kaylee Diggs and 14 assists from Kendall O’Kinsella.
