Playoff girls soccer

The Cascade and Kamiak girls soccer teams ended the year tied after the Bruins beat the Knights 1-0 in the final game of the regular season.

The two teams face off today at 4 p.m. at Kamiak H.S. for a spot in the 4A District 1 tournament.

Cascade won its final two games and had an important tie against Wesco North champ Snohomish in the final few weeks to end up tied with Kamiak.

Kamiak had a streaky season, going on a five-game winning streak midway through the season, only to drop three games after that win streak. Kamiak also had an important scoreless tie in its final few weeks, battling Wesco South champ Jackson to a draw.
