Apps aside, jobs are far and few

Considering that the Senate Republicans just blocked Obama’s latest push on his stalled jobs bill over costs and tax increases toward the rich, I have to ask: Where are the jobs?

I’ve been looking since June — thinking I could land something by November; my most optimistic projections, mind you.

It’s already November and I still haven’t found work.

What makes some people like a recent letter writer, “Hand out job apps instead of cash,” think that panhandlers will have any better luck than me in this soured job market?
