Just more than half of the nation’s pet owners plan to buy Christmas presents for their critters, a new poll shows.
On average, we’ll be spending $46 per pet — which, in this economy, means many of us will be subsisting on cat food until payday.
Treats and toys top the gift list, but the nation’s dogs report they’re really hoping for a larger hole in the fence between them and the French poodle next door.
Who’d a-thunk it: Voters in Seattle on Tuesday rejected a tax increase that would have paid for, among other things, light-rail mass transit and more bicycle lanes.
In other news Tuesday, pigs took flight, hell froze over and Dennis Kucinich got his own show on the Fox News Channel.
