Murray skating, Dolnik summoned

Two bits of news today.

First, today marked the first time Everett captain Ryan Murray skated with the team during practice since suffering his sprained ankle Oct. 19 vs. Brandon. Murray seemed to be moving around fine, and afterward he said he felt pretty good. His return isn’t imminent — there’s basically no chance he plays this weekend. But it’s looking more and more like the Tips will be getting their captain back sooner rather than later.

Second, Tips winger Vladimir Dolnik was selected to represent Slovakia at the World Junior Hockey Championships. The 18-year-old Dolnik will participate in the tournament, which takes place Dec. 26-Jan. 5 in Calgary and Edmonton. Dolnik has five assists in 23 games with Everett this season.
