The National Parks Service is in a tussle with organizers of the America’s Cup yacht races over Alcatraz Island in San Francisco Bay. The feds rejected the yachties’ plan to use Alcatraz as a private luxury suite for high rollers who want to watch the races in pampered comfort.
The Buzz proposes a compromise: Allow certain figures in high finance to watch the races from the island. Then restore Alcatraz as a prison and make them stay there for the next 14 to 20 years.
Fearful: After six blessed years off the air, the reality show “Fear Factor” returns on Monday.
The contestants’ first revolting challenge: tuning in Wednesday for “Barbara Walters Presents the 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011.”
You did what? Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., wants the Transportation Security Administration to create a passenger advocate position for all U.S. airports.
The advocate’s primary function would be doing spit-takes when TSA agents do things like hassle people who use colostomy bags, or strip-search elderly women.
