Some of the movie world’s hottest stylists claim to have gone to great lengths to create actress Rooney Mara’s goth-punk look as Lisbeth Salander in the new film, “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.”

One designer called Mara’s look “animalistic.” The Buzz would say “Seattle barista” is more like it, except Mara needs more tattoos and piercings.

Tannenbaum treat: Soon it’ll be time to get rid of your Christmas tree. One option: donate it to a farm in Arlington, which will feed it to goats.

The goats love the needles, branches and bark, but no flocked trees, please — proving that there are indeed things that even goats won’t eat.

Hang up and drive: The law banning cell phone use while driving has been in place for a while now, but violations remain commonplace, the Washington State Patrol says.

Troopers can easily spot violators at night, because greenish glow emitted by most cell phones illuminates their faces. Sounds like the world needs a new version of the expression “caught red-handed.”
