Hear ye, hear ye!

Better settle: A California woman has filed suit against Honda because her Civic Hybrid doesn’t get the 50 mpg Honda promised. But because joining a class-action lawsuit would likely only net her about $700, she’s taking Honda to small claims court, a tactic that if successful could win her up to $10,000.

If she doesn’t succeed in small claims court, the woman said she’ll appeal to the highest court in the land: “Judge Judy.”

And now a word from our sponsor: NBC says it has sold every slot for advertising during the Super Bowl on Feb. 5. Without naming specific companies, NBC said, “the usual companies,” including automotive, beverage, movie and snack makers, would be well represented.

We were going to review some of last year’s best Super Bowl commercials, but when we went to the website they made us watch a commercial before they would show us a commercial.

Iowa, you can have your TVs back now: An estimated $13 million was spent on television advertising in the days and weeks leading up to Tuesday’s Iowa caucuses by Republican presidential candidates’ campaigns and super PACs.

With 49 states to go, we’d recommend TiVo-ing those Super Bowl commercials so you’ve got something more enlightening to watch.
