MARYSVILLE — Sultan withstood a strong second-half rally from Lakewood to prevail in double overtime for the Cascade Conference win. A superior free-throw advantage propelled the Turks in overtime as Lakewood missed several key attempts late. The Cougars’ halftime adjustments helped overcome a 10-point halftime deficit and force overtime. Brock VandenEkart led the Turks with 22 points. The Cougars got a double-double effort from Justin Peterson (11 points and 14 rebounds) and 20 points from Tyler Farrell.
