Local talent competes tonight at Emory’s

Published 8:44 am Thursday, March 29, 2012

Tonight is the finals of Emory’s Sink or Swim open mic talent competition. This will be the fifth week of the contest and will feature 12 finalists who have impressed judges in prior weeks and will be competing for first place.

There are cash and other prizes, but I think the most important thing here is the chance local artists are getting to showcase their talents at a local venue. “Emory’s is a family-owned and operated company supported by the local community, we want to support our local musicians and provide networking and growth opportunities for them” said Emory’s Marketing Manager Sara Shaw.

The competition will go from 8:30 till 10:30 tonight. Come check out the local talent and see who wins. I will be sitting on the judge’s panel tonight, so if you decide to come down, feel free to say hello.
