Careful where you point that thing: Police in Utica, N.Y., say a 49-year-old man attempted to rob a bank armed with a toilet plunger. The man was arrested following a foot chase and charged with robbery after he entered a bank and threatened a teller with the plunger.

The public defender for the robbery suspect said he will argue that his defendant deserves a break because the weapon wasn’t loaded.
