YAKIMA — Interlake’s Jordan Todd rushed for three touchdowns including the game-winning 10-yard score in overtime to lead the West over the East 34-28 in the Earl Barden All-Star Classic, the 2A/1A/2B/1B all-state football game at Zaepfel Stadium on Saturday.

The West squad featured three Cascade Conference players — Archbishop Murphy’s Sam Shober and Lakewood’s Christian Melton and Thomas Raught.

Melton, chosen as one of four West team captains, was also voted as the West’s Most Inspirational Player, which came with a $500 award.

“(Melton) showed leadership,” said Lakewood coach Dan Teeter. “He’s a a kid who’s worked hard, is passionate about the game and I was excited to see how well he was received by his peers.”

Shober, who recorded a sack, and Melton rotated series at middle linebacker. Raught, originally an alternate, played center, right tackle and on the defensive line.
