Prep boys tennis: Wesco 4A North Division Tournament

MOUNT VERNON — Snohomish’s Andrew Ivelia beat Mount Vernon’s Jeffrey Levine 6-2, 7-5 to win the Wesco North 4A singles championship at the North Division Wesco 4A boys tennis tournament at Mount Vernon H.S. on Wednesday. In doubles, Mount Vernon’s Casey Goodwin and Anthony Shanander beat teammates Kyle Frederick and Roland Farrell in the championship match.

Top four singles and doubles finishers advance to district tournament. Singles—Finals: Andrew Ivelia (Sno) def. Jeffrey Levine (MV) 6-2, 7-5. Third-place match: Trent Sarver (Arl) def. Grant Schultz (LS) due to previous victory by Sarver. Doubles—Finals: Casey Goodwin-Anthony Shanander (MV) def. Kyle Frederick-Roland Farrell (MV) 6-3, 6-2. Third-place match: Ryan Lian-Andrew Moe (LS) def. Alex Robertson-Austin Brunkhorst (Arl) 6-0, 6-1.
