Prep girls basketball: Cedarcrest 56, Lakewood 30

MARYSVILLE — Susan Kenney scored 21 points to help Cedarcrest beat Lakewood. Marissa Blair had seven points and 10 rebounds for the Cougars. With the victory, Cedarcrest finished as co-champion of the Cascade Conference with Archbishop Murphy. It is the Red Wolves’ first league championship in girls basketball, Cedarcrest head coach Brad Knowles said. Cedarcrest also earned the No. 1 seed in 2A District 1/2 Tournament based on the league’s tiebreaker number draw. The Red Wolves plays host to the No. 4 seed from the Northwest Conference on Feb. 9 at 7 p.m.
