LA CONNER — In her first varsity appearance, Sultan pitcher Shelby Jeffries struck out 19 hitters en route to a complete game shutout and also helped her own cause at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, including a three-run home run in the seventh. Jessica Hopkins and Lexi O’Brien each had two hits for the Turks.
