MONROE — Monroe scored six runs in the first inning and pitcher Alyssa Egan gave up just three hits as the Bearcats beat Mount Vernon in a Wesco 4A North contest. Savanna Hohenstein, Kathleen Sundet, Alyssa Egan and Rachael Delamare each went 3-for-4 to lead Monroe’s 16-hit attack.
