Prep baseball: Monroe 6, Lake Stevens 1

MONROE — Joseph Goguen hit a 2-RBI double to put Monroe on the board in the first and the Bearcats went on to beat Lake Stevens 6-1 in their Wesco 4A North season finale. Goguen finished 2-for-3 and Hunter Bingham added a single, a double and scored two runs. With the win, Monroe secured the No. 3 seed going into the district tournament.
