PORTLAND — The biological mother of Kyron Horman has dropped her civil suit against the missing child’s stepmother, saying the case can’t move forward without information the police will not release because of the ongoing investigation.
Desiree Young filed the $10 million suit again Terri Horman last year, alleging the stepmother kidnapped the boy. She asked the court to order Terri Horman to return Kyron or say where his body is.
Young announced her decision to withdraw the suit Tuesday after a hearing before a Multnomah County judge.
Kyron Horman was 7 when he disappeared from school in June 2010. No arrests have been made.
Despite withdrawing the suit, Young says her determination to find Kyron has only strengthened.
