Granite Falls School Board swears in 1 member, seeks 2

GRANITE FALLS — Carl Cary was sworn in as the Granite Falls School Board’s newest member at its regular meeting Wednesday.

Cary was elected in November and represents District 5.

In addition, Board Member Rebecca Loney stepped down from the board at the same meeting.

Loney represented District 2, and the board is now seeking applicants for members representing her district as well as District 3, which is also vacant because of the earlier resignation of board member Siobhan Sullivan.

Interested candidates must submit a letter of interest and qualifications and indicate which position you are applying for.

The deadline is Jan. 3, 2014.
