Washington ferries start winter schedule Sunday

SEATTLE — Washington state ferries start their winter sailing schedule on Sunday.

Service to Sidney, B.C., is suspended and fewer sailings are scheduled in the San Juan Islands and some other routes.

The winter schedule is in effect through April 5.
