Here’s the situation heading into the final week of the WHL’s regular season. Everett still can finish anywhere between fourth and sixth in the Western Conference. The current standings:

4. Seattle, 86 points

5. Spokane, 82

6. Everett, 81

Each team has four games remaining:

SEATTLE (4) — Spo, Por, @Por, @TC

SPOKANE (4) — @Sea, Evt, @TC, TC

EVERETT (4) — @Spo, @Vic, Vic, @Por

Fourth place would mean home-ice advantage over whichever team finishes fifth. Sixth means a 99-percent chance of a date with Victoria. So …
