Sultan softball gets rude welcome to state

SELAH — Making their state tournament debut, the Sultan Turks softball team gota rude welcome.

Othello defeated Sultan 10-0 in a game cut short in the fifth inning by the 10-run rule in the first round of the 2A state tournament at Carlon Park.

Sultan fell to Tumwater 6-1 in the consolation round to end its season at 17-7.
