SEATTLE — Pierce College fired an employee after a whistleblower investigation found she was spending an average of two hours a day browsing the Internet.

KIRO reported she was fired in May after investigators responding to a co-worker’s complaint found she was spending too much time on Facebook, Amazon and checking dating services and other non-work websites.

Another worker at the Lakewood college who spent excessive time on online shopping, videos and social networking is under review for possible discipline.
