Prep girls soccer: Archbishop Murphy 3, Sedro-Woolley 0

EVERETT — The Archbishop Murphy girls soccer team broke through for three goals in the second half in a 3-0 win over Sedro-Woolley in the 2A District 1 Tournament on Tuesday night.
“We worked really hard to get ready for this,” Archbishop Murphy head coach Michael Bartley said. “Tonight we struggled in the first half and we finally broke through and everything fell together.”
Kristi Bartz scored twice off assists from Talia Daigle, first in the 41st minute and again in the 59th, and Tena Ungvarsky scored off an assist from Maddie Lowden in the 50th minute.
“All four of them in the second half all got on the same page,” Bartley said. “They were working together really well.”
Natalie Robinson and Crissy Talley combined to earn the shutout in goal for the Wildcats. The Wildcats will face Burlington-Edison on Thursday.
