Prep football: Federal Way 46, Mariner 14

FEDERAL WAY — Chico McClatcher scored five touchdowns to lead Federal Way to a 46-14 win over Mariner in a Class 4A Quad-District playoff game Friday night.

The loss ended the season for Mariner (4-6). Federal Way (8-2) moves on to play Union in the first round of the state tournament.

McClatcher scored on offense, defense and special teams. He scored on runs of 7, 10 and 8 yards, and added touchdowns on a 56-yard interception return and 70-yard punt return.

Mariner caused turnovers early, but it was not enough to keep up with the Eagles. Mariner’s two touchdowns were a 2-yard run by Kyle DiLeonardo in the second quarter and a 10-yard run by Dyonte Law in the fourth quarter.
