Prep girls basketball: Sultan 66, Tyee 18

BELLINGHAM — Bailey Bierbrauer scored 17 points and Belle Ellis added 16 Friday to lead the Sultan girls to a win over Tyee at the Meridian Holiday Tournament at Meridian High School.

The Turks jumped to a 16-4 lead in the first quarter and led 34-15 at halftime.

Sultan (3-6) next faces the winner of Friday’s Granite Falls-Meridian game at 5 p.m. Saturday.
