MONROE — Alex Spahman scored 15 points to lead Monroe to the Wesco 4A win over Mount Vernon. The Bearcats led by nine points entering the fourth quarter, then pulled away by outscoring Mount Vernon 15-5 in the period.

Damian Ibarra led Mount Vernon with 15 points.
