MONROE — Monroe scored all four of its runs in the bottom of the seventh inning — highlighted by a run-scoring groundout by Alex Spahman that drove in Hayden Curnutt with the winning run — in a non-conference victory on Saturday at Marshall Field.

Chase Carpenter, the fourth Bearcat pitcher, earned the victory in relief.

It is Monroe’s third straight victory and seventh in its last nine games.
