Alex Schmidt (Kamiak) went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored an an RBI as the Huskies cut a six-run deficit to two after eight innings, but the Wildcats closed out the Pac-12 victory.
Brandon Choate (Mountlake Terrace) pitched a scoreless eighth for UW, but Kamiak’s Alex Nesbitt (1.2IP, 5H, 4ER, BB, K) had a rough outing in relief.
