Sam Triece (Meadowdale, Edmonds Community College) made his third start of the season, working 2.1 hitless, scoreless innings with four strikeouts and two walks to improve to 5-0 as the Cougars beat the Pilots at Gesa Stadium in Pasco.
Haakon Lande (Snohomish) appeared as a defensive replacement at shortstop for the Cougars, and Geoffrey Lee (King’s) went 0-for-4 as Portland’s center fielder.
