LAKE STEVENS — Freshman Sara Johnson pitched a shutout to lead Lake Stevens to a win over Jackson on Thursday night in a tiebreaker for postseason seeding in the 4A District Tournament.
Senior infielder Amie Browder broke the game open in the fourth inning with a two-run single and the Vikings never looked back from there.
Senior infielder Cassidy Fifield doubled and junior utility player Lily Larsen went 3-for-3 at the plate.
Sophomore first baseman Taylor Adams doubled for Jackson in the loss.
Lake Stevens will be the No. 2 seed in the district tournament, which begins on Tuesday. Jackson will be the No. 3 seed.
