Phillies draft former Monroe pitcher Reppert

The Philadelphia Phillies selected former Monroe High School left-handed pitcher Jake Reppert in the 27th round of the Major League Baseball draft with pick No. 804 overall on Wednesday.

Reppert, the 6-foot-5 lefty who pitched at Northwest Nazarene University, finished his senior campaign with a 5-5 record and 3.56 earned-run average. Reppert struck out 78 batters in 83 1/3 innings with opponents hitting .274 against him.
