National night out: Learn about crime prevention and community partnerships at Marysville’s annual National Night Out Against Crime event Aug. 4. The Marysville police and fire departments, along with community organizations, will participate in the free event from 6 to 8 p.m. at Comeford Park, 514 Delta Ave.

“It’s important to bring our community together to share ways they can be partners in crime prevention,” said police Chief Rick Smith. “National Night Out is one way of educating our families about ways they can keep themselves and their neighborhoods safe.”
