Event explains Medicare
Providence Health &Services is offering free classes to help those approaching age 65 sort out their Medicare options. The informational sessions, hosted at Providence locations by Connexion Insurance Solutions, a local independent agent, are scheduled through December. Seating is limited. The schedule for Medicare 101 classes:
Oct. 27, 1 to 2 p.m., Providence Medical Group/Monroe, Monroe Conference Room;
Nov. 24, 1 to 2 p.m., Providence Medical Group/North Everett Medical Office Building, Olympic Conference Room;
Dec. 22, 1 to 2 p.m., Providence Medical Group/Monroe, Monroe Conference Room.
Toys for Tots drive in Marysville: Toys for Tots is collecting donations this weekend of new, unwrapped toys and money. A donation drive is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Marysville Skate Deck, 7313 44th Ave. NE. Skating costs $5 with the donation of a toy and $6 without. All proceeds go to Snohomish County children.
Toys for Tots also plans to collect donations at the Smokey Point Walmart on Highway 531 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
