97-year-old Whidbey Island car-accident victim identified

OAK HARBOR — The Washington State Patrol has identified the 97-year-old woman killed Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash north of Oak Harbor.
Edna Blackwood of Oak Harbor died when her Honda Accord collided with a pickup truck on Highway 20 at Frostad Road about five miles north of town.
The 72-year-old driver of the pickup was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. The accident is being investigated by the State Patrol.
