Motorcyclist dies in crash on U.S. 2 trestle

EVERETT — A motorcyclist crashed and died early Sunday on the U.S. 2 trestle, just east of Everett.

The woman’s name, age and other details were not made public Sunday. The crash happened just after 1 a.m. in the westbound lanes. The motorcycle struck a guardrail and the rider was thrown over the side, according to a Washington State Patrol memo. Speed is believed to be a factor.

No other vehicles were involved. The investigation continues.
